SAVING FOR A MAUSOLEUM

Art by Rebekah Lynne Spence
Influenced by grief, loss, motherhood and an office overlooking a New York City funeral home in the midst of a global pandemic, this debut collection of poems and “microstories” imagines all we weave and leave behind in the fabric of life and wake of death, deconstructing the boundless impact we each have on the people and universe around us.
Saving For A Mausoleum is a collective requiem for the lives who pass through this world. A eulogy for humanness. A still life of our own mortality and the imagining—for better or worse—of the moments and commonalities that make our complicated existence worthwhile.
